loosen, fix or glue
published: 2015-05-17My son shuffles cards and is trying to force them into a neat pack but the cards are jutting out in various angles. Much to his annoyance. I show him that he is to loosen his grip. To let the batch of cards slip between both hands, but in a controlled way. Gently tap the stack on the table and they fall into place, see?
He nods.
I tell him, “it’s like that with most things. When you loosen your grip, things start working out.”
He responds, “that’s not true. When you need to fix things or glue them, you have to hold on really tight.”
He’s right. Some things in life need fixing.
