Overnight, my life has snapped back into a state of normalcy –
The screenplay has been sent off to Sundance.
My man arrived from Tokyo this morning.
My son no longer cried during goodbyes at the day care center.
We resumed the process of finding a school for our son.
I paid bills, finally replied to my accountant's email.
I sent a congratulations-card to someone who's had a baby.
I returned a long overdue book to the library.
I called my mother.
All this while engaging in my most regular of activities –
I did a lot of thinking about my novel.
