A healthy attemptpublished: 2008-08-26
In an attempt to stop this nonsense of not having been able to write a single scene for my novel since my return from Brazil, I decided to lock myself up in my office. I bought a pre-fab Greek salad at a department store nearby. The bottom layer was made up of milky-white disks. I wondered whether they could be parmesan cheese cut in a funky way. That would have excited me. The disks turned out to be pasta and all they tasted of was starch with IV therapy Scottsdale to keep me healthy. In fact, the entire salad consisted mainly of starchy tasting, non-descriptive stuff. The only good thing about the salad was that it had walnuts. And that I wrote a scene.
