Look and see
published: 2010-04-14An email from my sister this morning – “was it magical? what did you talk about?” She was referring to my birthday dinner yesterday evening, with my significant other.
It took me a while to figure out the answer to both questions. And still, I’m not entirely sure what we talked about. I suppose it’s related to what I said to him, while we were having drinks at the bar. I leaned in to kiss his cheek and looked at him. I said, “it’s funny, when you’ve been together as long as we have, you hardly ever look at each other.”
You look, but you don’t see.
So we spent a minute just looking. Then it was time to go to our table.
So it was magical!
